Lunch time at Casaa [2]

After long hours of waiting, we finally had our lunch. We were originally headed to Beach House, but when we got there we thought we could not afford to add more waiting time in our lives. :D So we hit it off to Casaa (not again..!).


Marnie: Korean BBQ + rice + pancit canton (side dish) + red iced tea (kiddie size) = P50.00
>>The Korean BBQ dish from Mongolian is really good! You should try it! It's a combo meal for P50!
Cherryamour: Stuffed eggplant (P25.00) + fish tempura w/ rice (P47.00) + pineapple juice (P18.00?)
>>I dont know where cherryamour bought the stuffed eggplant, but it's really delicious plus Im being biased because i love eggplant omelet!
Romelia: Pancit malabon (P25.00?) + Hotcake (P20.00?)
>>It seemed that Romelia liked the pancit malabon so much that i did not have the chance to taste it. Anyway, i would not go for another hotcake next time. The items were all from Gloria's.

Misadventures in Food Analysis Laboratory [1]

The team was performing an experiment to determine the ascorbic acid content of a branded pineapple. They had to do every step in a dark working environment. So here are their misadventures!>Analytical balance harassed with a lab gown, >Blender (for homogenization purpose) salvaged with a (wet-like) face towel, >Test tube forcefully dried with a lab gown. Resourceful, indeed!
PLUS: A broken 100-ml beaker! :)




Apparently, these two are my best examples for today's misadventure! LEFT: Best in Proper Personnel Equipment,
RIGHT: Best in Food Contamination. :) Peace guys!

A Snapshot w/ The Prime Minister ZanJun and My First-ever Avatar

Hello! This is MarniePakyaw and the girl on the side is the Prime Minister of Sorority Girl, Inc. We are at the UP College of Home Economics library trying to be studious. And by the way, we just finished my first ever avatar. In 30 minutes I will be posting it here. At the back of Prime Minister JanZun are the books for Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management. Those are great books read by great people. It is already 10:55am (Philippine Time) and luckily our HRIM101 class professor is on a meeting so I'm free today from 1130-1pm. :)

She is my avatar. The hair is just right. The eyebrows plus the eyes, I guess, are ok. The nose looks very artificial and too pointed compared to my reality. The lips seem ok but they look too pleasing. I like the jacket, though. The chest part is a total exaggeration (Dong:I second the motion)! :D

Today Dong turns 20!

My sister Dong turns twenty today. I call her Dong first. Her real name is Madelle. Let's follow the etymology of her name: Madelle ---> Madolfie ---> Madongdong ---> Madong (Madie/Madz) ---> Dong (Udong). But of course this is my own version of her namevolution.

No obvious celebration here in the house. Dong doesn't want the fuzz of preparing all the food stuff and the hang of taking care of the mess after. By the way, is it (Figure 1) not cute? Sarah G finally found her look-alike...
